Muslims can live in harmony with very different religions, Dahalan

President of the Centre for Islamic Research and Information (CIRI) and Psychological Counsellor, Mohamed Dahalan, on Friday (6) severely criticised the policy of some print, electronic media organisations and civil organisations for their bid to damage the “good reputation” of Islam and Muslims.

Dahalan added that a civil organisation has severely criticised the Quran at an assembly held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo. “Some are trying to mislead the society with few quotes they found from the Holy Quran. No one can criticise it without knowing the core theories. It is like a blind man try to describe an elephant that he has never seen,” he said.

He went on saying that as one cannot judge the essence of either Thripitakaya or Bible without having a deep knowledge, likewise, it is illogical to criticise the Quran.
